Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College is a Government aided institution established in the year 1980 and sponsored by Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science and Technology. The institution is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) and governed by the statutory norms of code and conduct stipulated by the Directorate of Technical Education,(DOTE) Government of Tamil Nadu. The Institution has attained full academic autonomous from the year 2007. It is situated in a sylvan surrounding in the Thanjavur - Tiruchirappalli National Highway 12 km from Thanjavur and provides an impeccable platform to exhibit the students talents effectively with a host of curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
The conducive atmosphere in the institution prepares the students to move dynamically into the future with resilience capacity to meet challenges ahead. The Institution under the able leadership of the Chairperson Dr. K.Veeramani is committed to the cause of uplifting the economically weaker section of the region by enhancing their social status through proper educational avenues.

I am now working as an Assistant Engineer in the North Section (Operation are Maintenance). In Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. I won so many prizes in the athletic competitions held in our polytechnic college. Indeed I am proud to remember my participation as a cadet in NCC. The technical education, discipline and culture imparted in Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College have made the students technocrats who are now decorating higher posts in global level.
I introduce myself as G.Rajaganesan, a Successful Solar Entrepreneur, Technology Specialist and Proud Alumni of Periyar Centenary Polytechnic college. I’m running a Solar Engineering, Procurement & construction company at Chennai named as “VATIO Energy India Pvt Ltd” since 2012. I once again thank Periyar polytechnic for imparting this confident knowledge to become as successful Entrepreneur.
It is my Pride and privilege to state that I am a first generation woman entrepreneur. The credit should go to Periyar Centenary Polytechnic College where I learned my subjects along with soft skills such as self confidence and courage to become successful buttup.
